"Development coupled with social harmony and unity among people of all castes and creeds is the key to a developed Bihar," the CM said. Reiterating his government's commitment to solve the basic problems facing the people and transform Bihar into a fully developed state, Manjhi said the changed scenario in the state under the stewardship of his predecessor Nitish Kumar reflects the changed mindset of the people. A developed state can be built only on the basis of unity and social harmony, he said adding desired results are yet to be achieved in the arena of human resources development and industries in the state owing to hurdles from the Centre and other quarters.

The chief minister expressed his gratitude to the people of Jehanabad for always showering so much of love and affection on him. " I have many plans up my sleeve for the development of Jehanabad district on which work would start within a couple of months," he said adding an electric ropeway would soon be installed on the Barabar hill-tops.
Earlier, the chief minister reviewed various ongoing schemes and development works of different departments in the district and directed the officials concerned to speed up the execution of the schemes in the given timeframe.
